Whispers Beneath the Plaster
Layers of Memory · 001/04
Beneath the rough, highly tactile surface lies a sense of longing and a space seemingly frozen in time. The contrast between vivid rust-orange and quiet industrial grays creates tension between warmth and alienation, memory and erasure. Scraped layers reveal traces of a geometric pattern like a faded childhood memory, while raw marks, dark drips and abrasions suggest storms, tears and quiet moments accumulated over decades. The work invites the viewer to pause and listen to what remains beneath the surface.
