Traces of What Was — original acrylic painting by Eddie Davidov

Traces of What Was explores the persistence of memory through layers of color, pattern and physical abrasion. Turquoise, deep blue, rust, ochre and broken orange forms emerge from a dense, weathered surface, as if fragments of an earlier place have survived beneath repeated layers of time. The work moves between recognition and disappearance: familiar marks briefly surface, then dissolve back into texture. What remains is not a literal memory, but the physical trace of one.
