Silent Witness — original acrylic painting by Eddie Davidov

Silent Witness explores memory as a surface that records what time cannot completely erase. Dense layers of deep blue, pale blue, white, ochre and rust move across the canvas in scraped and broken passages, creating a tension between concealment and revelation. Vertical traces suggest remnants of an architecture or place, while the distressed surface feels weathered, exposed and repeatedly transformed. The painting does not describe a specific location; it evokes the feeling of standing before something that has witnessed years of change and still carries their marks.
